Gentiana
Gentiana is a genus of flowering plants with about 400 species! That is a large species group, and these blooms are most notable for the trumpet-like shape and vivid coloring. Intense ultramarine blue, star-like flowers unfold from pyramid buds. Facing upward they reveal their five propeller-shaped petals. While they are often brilliant blue in coloring, they can also be white, yellow, red. The flowers have 4 or 5 sepals and also the same number of stamens and petals. They are great for cut flowers and flower arrangements.
